English: Decorative garden beside the road – with rowboat And that’s what it seems to be for, decoration: a jetty and a boat – all dressed up and nowhere to go. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

There at the edge of the pond,
Where the grass grows tall and thick,
And the reeds sway gently in the breeze,
A rowboat rests its water-stained hull.

You should have seen it
The night before,
Before the wind came and
Took with it the fireflies,
That danced along the shore.

They were beautiful.
